Which conditions qualify for MC use?

Qualifying medical conditions include cachexia, anorexia, wasting syndrome, severe pain, severe nausea, seizures, severe or persistent muscle spasms, glaucoma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and chronic pain. Other conditions may qualify on a case-by-case basis.

How often do I have to renew my registration(MCA ID Card)?

All Patients and/or Caregivers registered with MCA must renew their registration. Patients renew every six years and Caregivers renew every two years. This process is renewal of the MC ID card and is done through the OneStop Portal.

How often do I have to renew my certification?

All patients must see a healthcare provider annually. This ensures that patients meet the criteria for continued use and gives patients the opportunity to evaluate whether their current dosing is adequate to control symptoms.
